Logan Fire Company No. 1 -- Bellefonte -- Centre County -- Pennsylvania
Events
Every third Tuesday of each month, starting at 7:30 pm, is the monthly Company Membership meeting.
Every Wednesday night, there is something pretty much going on. One of the biggest things that does go on is "training."

The Logans are participating in the "Everyone Goes Home Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives Program."
Like all other Volunteer Fire Stations, receiving an
Emergency Responders Grant from a Wal-Mart Store is always a bonus. This Wal-Mart grant was
used directly for training. Thank you State College Benner Pike Wal-Mart Store Manager Bill Frantz
and Store Associates.

The Logan Fire Company No. 1 celebrated its 137 years of Volunteer Service at the Bellefonte V.F.W.
on November 17th, 2007.
The banquet was a success, special thanks to Banquet Chairperson Pat DeHaas, the banquet committee,
the Bellefonte V.F.W., and Pleasant Gap Fire Department, Station 8,
for standing-by on our emergency call box.
The dinner, having special quest speaker Steve Bair - Fire Director for Centre Region Council of Governments (COG),
recognition & awards, and the benediction by Rev. Frank Skies, Bellefonte Church of the Good Shepherd,
all made a great night. Fire Fighter Bill Grafmyre received the award "Firefighter of the Year."
A special note, the first two female firefighters to join the Logan Fire Company No. 1 were present at the banquet,
Pat DeHaas and Bobbi Pinge Barnett.
Sam's Club, in State College, has given the
Logans
an Emergency Responders Grant. This Sam's Club grant will be used directly for training.
As with any Volunteer Fire Station, training is essential and can be at times, very expensive.
Thank you Sam's Club.

This grant will be used by the Logans Fire Police for much needed safety equipment.
Thank you Bellefonte Elks.
William "Bill" Grafmyre
With great sorrow and sadness, we have lost a remarkable volunteer Tuesday the 22nd, January 2008.
Bill Grafmyre, age 56, passed away, leaving behind wife Vickie, daughter Bobbi, and sons
Christopher and David. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Grafmyre family.
Bill was a true volunteer, every sense of the meaning. He will be missed.
